Coco Gauff is back in tennis action on Saturday (15 August), after receiving a first-round bye for the 2026 Cincinnati Open .

The fourth seed, whose maiden WTA title came in this event three years ago, will face Yulia Putintseva or Liudmila Samsonova depending on the outcome of their bout.

The 22-year-old is in fine form, having reached the semi-final of the Canadian Open earlier this week. In July she also reached the last four of Wimbledon, putting on one of her best Grand Slam displays.

With the US Open just two weeks away, Gauff will be looking to continue her impressive performances on the hard court, which have seen her achieve several deep tournament runs.
