A day after winning silver in the women’s 200m freestyle, Canadian swimming sensation McIntosh took gold in the women’s 400m individual medley.
Three-time Olympic champion Summer McIntosh won the women’s 400m individual medley final at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships 2026 on Thursday (13 August).
Canadian sensation McIntosh touched the line in 4 minutes, 28.01 seconds , setting a championship record en route to her first gold at this year’s meet in Irvine, California.
Australia’s Jenna Forrester came second in 4:31.50, finishing 3.49 seconds behind the race winner, while Argentina’s Agostina Hein was third with a time of 4:32.54.
