Who will earn the beach volleyball quota spots to represent Africa at LA28? Read on for everything you need to know about the African Championships in Egypt.

Africa’s road to LA28 begins in Alexandria at the 2026 CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Senior Championships (17-23 August).

The Egyptian city will host the African beach volleyball Championships, where the men’s and women’s champions will earn the first quota spots for the next Olympics.

As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective teams at the Olympic Games, athletes’ participation at the LA Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at LA28.

Each field consists of 24 teams from across the continent. Egypt and Morocco were the African representatives at Paris 2024 : Marwa Abdelhady and Doaa Elghobashy contested the women’s tournament for Morocco, while Egypt featured in the men’s tournament with Mohamed Abicha and Zouheir El Graoui .
