LandFrauen Schönhausen & Surrounding Areas strickten Socken für Magdeburg University Women’s Hospital; auch Babysocken an maternity ward gespendet
Medical Faculty/University Hospital Magdeburg - “Green Sock” Campaign
As part of the “Green Sock” campaign organized by the association “Gynäkologische Krebserkrankungen Deutschland e. V.” , the Schönhausen & Surrounding Area chapter of LandFrauen has knitted numerous pairs of socks for patients at the Magdeburg University Women’s Hospital .
Women with gynecological cancers, in particular, often suffer from cold feet due to hormonal fluctuations. The warm, hand-knitted socks are therefore a thoughtful and practical source of support in everyday hospital life and are gratefully received by the patients.

The socks were presented to the Department of Gynecology at the University Women’s Hospital in Magdeburg by oncology nurse Doreen Klement, Tobias Liesegang, executive director of the Magdeburg Cancer League, and Katja Trautwig, social counselor at the Magdeburg Cancer League.
But that’s not all: The LandFrauen also knitted small children’s socks for the youngest patients. These, too, were donated to the maternity ward at the Magdeburg University Women’s Hospital.
A heartfelt thank you to the LandFrauen of Schönhausen & Surrounding Areas for this wonderful initiative and the many socks knitted with love!
