Opening ceremony, competitions, concerts: how much do tickets cost for Dakar 2026?

The official ticketing platform for Dakar 2026 is now open! Here is an overview of ticket prices for the first Olympic sporting event to be held in Africa.

Since 10 August, fans have been able to book tickets online to attend Dakar 2026. Taking place in Senegal from 31 October to 13 November, the Games will be the first Olympic sporting event ever held on the African continent.

The programme includes 25 sports on the official competition schedule , opportunities for the public to try 10 engagement sports, concerts and memorable ceremonies. Some 2,700 athletes are expected to compete across venues in Dakar, Saly and Diamniadio.

The official Dakar 2026 official ticketing programme is divided into three categories: ceremonies, sports sessions and special events (festivals and fan zones). A ticket must be booked online to attend the events, including those with free admission.

For the Opening Ceremony, taking place on 31 October at Stade Abdoulaye Wade , tickets cost 2,000 FCFA for people with reduced mobility (PRM), 4,000 FCFA for Category C, 15,000 FCFA for Category B and 40,000 FCFA for Category A. A box seat costs 2,250,000 FCFA.

For sports sessions, ticket prices also vary depending on the category. Tickets cost 1,000 FCFA 2,000 FCFA or 3,000 FCFA per session. Admission to the triathlon session is free, but spectators must book a ticket online in advance.

Fan zones and day passes

Admission to the fan zones set up near selected competition venues - Stade Abdoulaye Wade, Complex Iba Mar Diop and Complex Tour de l’Œuf - is also free, with online booking required. Spectators will be able to enjoy entertainment and try out different sports. Limited access to competitions, with standing areas, may also be available subject to capacity.

Admission to the festivities organised along the Corniche West , featuring opportunities to try engagement sports, concerts and cultural activities for the general public, is also free with a day-pass reservation.

The day pass for Saly Beach West costs 1,500 FCFA. In addition to sports activities, a range of entertainment and cultural activities will be open to the public.

Finally, tickets for the closing concerts in Saly are available at a single price of 5,000 FCFA.
