MS. YAMAMOTO IS STILL HERE — 50 YEARS OF THE MÖREL STAGE - Photos & Map How would you like to arrive? - Description - Date overview - Good to know - Nearby - Tickets PLAY Dea Loher’s latest play portrays the residents of an apartment building—their relationships, their isolation, and their loneliness, but also their wishes, their longings, and their hopes. At the center of the story are two men, Erik and Nino, who live as a couple; their young niece; and the elderly Mrs. Yamamoto, who always keeps her front door slightly ajar, letting in the “breath of the world”… AUTHOR Dea Loher, the daughter of a forester, was born in 1964 in Traunstein, Upper Bavaria. She studied German language and literature and philosophy at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Starting in 1990, she enrolled in the “Dramatic Writing” program taught by Heiner Müller at the Berlin University of the Arts. Dea Loher is considered one of the most important contemporary authors and is internationally renowned for her insightful perspective on the fragile social structures of our time. She lives in Berlin. VENUE The greenhouse at the Ritter Nursery in Naters perfectly captures the fragility of the play. Metaphorically speaking, the greenhouse symbolizes growth, change, and the fragility of life. These themes are beautifully expressed in the play. Link to the website: https:
