We are pleased to share that the publication of Alessandra Spada entitled " Orthogonal functionalization of lithium niobate nanoparticles with targeting aptamers and caged chemotherapeutics " has just been published in RSC Appl. Interfaces.

In this study, Alessandra developed othogonal surface functionalization pathways to develop lithium niobate (LNO)-based nanopaltforms displaying both photocaged anticancer drugs and anti-EGFR aptamers for the targeting of cancer cells overexpressing the epidermal growth factor receptor. We are grateful to the team of Prof. Yannick Mugnier (SYMME, University Savoie Mont-Blanc) for providing the bare harmonic LNO nanocrystals.

The study was funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (DARE, grant N° 200021E_205745) and the French Agence Nationale de la Recherche (DARE, grant N° ANR-21- CE09-0036-01).
