Zurich Airport Ltd. agrees to divest minority stake in Belo Horizonte International Airport

Zurich Airport Ltd. has agreed to divest its indirectly held minority interest in Belo Horizonte International Airport (Confins) in Brasil.

The divestment is aligend with Zurich Airport Ltd.’s strategy of focusing on majority shareholdings with operational responsibility in its international business. The buyer is Aeropuerto de Cancún, S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S.A.B. de C.V. (ASUR). The transaction is expected to result in a non-recurring net gain of approximately CHF 17m at group level upon closing.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the required regulatory approvals, and is expected to be completed within the next few months.

About the Airport Belo Horizonte

Belo Horizonte International Airport is operated by Concessionária do Aeroporto Internacional de Confins S.A. under a 30-year concession awarded in 2013 and handled approximately 13.3 million passengers in 2025. Zurich Airport Ltd. joined the project as a minority investor in 2013 and holds an indirect minority interest of 12.75%.
