Britt Ruysschaert and Jade Van Deun win Belgian Beach Tour women's national championship Nieuwpoort, Belgium; 2-0 final over Vervloet and Thant

Belgium, Bulgaria crown beach champions; Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Turkiye hold tour stops – FIVB

The Nieuwpoort Masters Finals of the Belgian Beach Tour determined the national champions of Belgium last weekend. The women’s crown went to second-seeded Britt Ruysschaert & Jade Van Deun. In the final, they achieved a 2-0 (23-21, 21-14) victory over bracket leaders Simone Vervloet & Lente Thant. In the bronze medal game, third-seeded Lisa Van Den Vonder & Louka Maertens put together a 2-0 (21-11, 21-18) win over the mixed Belgian-Dutch pairing of Youna Coens & Anique Tavenier.

In the men’s competition (pictured in the main photo; source: Belgian Beach Tour) , the gold also went to the second-seeded team. Joppe Van Langendonck & Kyan Vercauteren mastered a 2-0 (21-16, 21-12) sweep of the final against the top seeds, Louis Vandecaveye & Gilles Vandecaveye. Casper Willems & Arne Darras completed the podium after defeating Dries Koekelkoren & Tom van Walle in the hard-fought 2-1 (22-20, 16-12, 18-16) bronze medal game.

Burgas welcomed the Finals of the Grifid Masters Beach Volley tour in Bulgaria. The top-seeded mixed Bulgarian-Romanian duo of Darina Kindova & Ioana Andreea Miu triumphed on top of the podium after a 2-0 (21-9, 21-17) shutout of second-seeded Ivet Gavrailova & Antoniya Nikolova in the women’s final. Slavina Koleva & Eva Petrova finished in third place following a 2-1 (16-21, 22-20, 15-8) turnaround in the bronze medal playoff against Elitsa Hristova & Svilena Stoyanova. The national championship crown went to season winners Ivet Gavrailova & Antoniya Nikolova.

Zahari Zgurov & Georgi Antov won the men’s tournament in Burgas. They produced a 2-1 (22-20, 19-21, 15-11) victory over second-seeded Boris Georgiev & Alexander Tsanev in the gold medal showdown. In the bronze medal playoff, Romania’s Andrei Grigore & Eduard Popa were awarded a forfeit victory over the team of Konstantin Mitev & Valentin Bratoev. Boris Georgiev was named Bulgaria’s national champion as he single-handedly topped the season’s final ranking.

The last stop on the 2026 German Beach Tour took place in Hamburg. Anna Behlen & Sarah Schulz won the women’s final. They beat third-seeded Tabea Schwarz & Mareet Maidhof by 2-1 (21-14, 11-21, 15-11). The third-place was shared by the two teams that lost the semifinals – second-seeded Nele Barber & Melanie Gernert and bracket leaders Chenoa Christ & Sophia Neuss.

Tamo Wust & Tristan Frobel triumphed in the men’s tournament. They delivered a 2-0 (21-14, 21-11) sweep of the final showdown against second-seeded Benedikt Sagstetter & Ole Sackermann. Top-seeded Momme Lorenz & Tilo Rietschel shared the third place with Cedrik Moede & Luis Henrichs.

Second-seeded Jill de Groot & Leanne van Vegten conquered the women’s trophy at the last stop on the Robijn Quickwash Eredivisie Beach national tour of the Netherlands that took place in Lelystad. They celebrated a 2-0 (21-19, 21-18) upset of top-seeded Nigella Negenman & Brecht Piersma in the gold medal match. The bronze went to Lisa Luini & Rianne Stok, who managed a 2-0 (26-24, 21-16) victory over third-seeded Tess Spaansen & Trijntje Veerbeek in the third-place game.

Mica Bezemer & Bram van der Wel came back from a set down in the men’s final against third-seeded Austrians Laurenc Grossig & Julian Horl to claim gold with a 2-1 (16-21, 22-20, 15-8) win. Bracket leaders Ruben Penninga & Yannick Verberne settled for bronze. In the third-place playoff, they took a 2-0 (21-15, 21-17) victory over Nikita Artamonov & Max Nieuwstad.

Novy Urengoy welcomed a stop on the Russia Championship Tour last week. Top-seeded Mariia Bocharova & Maria Voronina lived up to their status and claimed the women’s trophy. They claimed an emphatic 2-0 (21-9, 21-13) victory over Olga Motrich & Yuliya Petrova in the final showdown. Arina Riazhnova & Elizaveta Ludkova brought home bronze after beating Elizaveta Makarova & Daria Mastikova by 2-0 (21-12, 26-24) in the third-place match.

The men’s gold also went to the bracket leaders. In the final, Oleg Stoyanovskiy & Ilya Leshukov produced a 2-0 (21-18, 21-16) shutout of Viacheslav Krasilnikov & Vladislav Reinson. Aleksei Komissarenko & Kirill Elnikov defeated Miroslav Turovskiy & Aleksandr Kramarenko by 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) for the bronze.

The last event on Slovakia’s Nike Summer Beach Tour 2026 was organized in Zilina. Eva Nemec Elekova & Andrea Bundzelova, seeded third in the women’s main draw, snatched the gold medals after a 2-1 (16-21, 21-15, 15-13) turnaround against Czechia’s Stela Hummelova & Marketa Prihodova in the final showdown. Ema Palkovicova & Viktoria Nemlaha claimed the bronze. They won the third-place game against second-seeded Martina Terenova & Jasmina Viecha by 2-0 (21-18, 21-15).

Patrik Marcok & Kamil Pavlinsky lived up to their top-seed ranking and triumphed on top of the men’s podium. In the gold medal game, they achieved a 2-1 (21-19, 14-21, 15-11) victory over Tomas Patuc & Marek Ludha. Second-seeded Dominik Jancok & Lukas Hunady settled for third place. They came back from a set down to mount a 2-1 (17-21, 21-16, 15-12) win over Lukas Nesticky & Martin Petras in the bronze medal playoff.

Agnieszka Adamek & Aleksandra Gromadowska of Poland picked up the women’s trophy at the Catalca stage of the Bioderma Pro Beach Tour in Turkiye. They hammered out a 2-0 (21-10, 21-14) upset of Turkish-Russian bracket leaders Anna Degirmenci & Adelya Akhmetova in the final. The match for the third place produced a 2-1 (11-21, 22-20, 15-13) turnaround in favor of second-seeded Nursel Yaren Sencel & Merve Celebi over third-seeded Ukrainians Kseniia Mazur & Anna Kalchenko.

A 2-1 (22-24, 21-17, 15-10) three-set battle decided the outcome of the men’s final showdown. Top-seeded Ahmet Can Tur & Sacit Kurt turned the course of the match against second-seeded Hasan Huseyin Mermer & Yasin Baysal to grab the gold. Azerbaijani teenagers Ibrahim Mammadov & Muhammad Aslanli brought home the bronze medals. They celebrated a 2-0 (21-13, 23-21) sweep of the third-place playoff against the mixed Turkish-Beninese pairing of Dundar Yildirim & Bosco Date.
