The Free State of Saxony provides funding for the promotion of doctoral candidates of TU Dresden in accordance with the Saxon Scholarship Program Regulation (Sächsische Landesstipendienverordnung SächsLStipVO ) of October 23 th , 2024.
The funding modalities at a glance:
The maximum funding period is three years . The scholarship funding ends with the month in which the dissertation is submitted.
In special circumstances (cf. § 5 sec. 2 SächsLStipVO ), the funding period can be extended by a further year.
monthly scholarship rate of 1,500.00 EUR
if applicable, monthly child allowance: 100,00 EUR for each child who not only temporarily resides in a common household with the grant recipient
October 15, 2026 November 1, 2026 November 15, 2026 December 1, 2026
Due to administrative reasons, the earliest possible start of funding for Non-EU citizens is November 1, 2026.
A start of funding in year 2027 is out of question.
