FCM Pro Lubambo Musonda Successfully Underwent Surgery in the Trauma Surgery Department at UMMD

The 31-year-old FCM professional and captain of the Zambian national team, Lubambo Musonda , has successfully undergone surgery for an Achilles tendon rupture at the University Clinic for Trauma Surgery at Magdeburg University Medical Center .

The procedure was performed by Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Piatek, Director of the Department of Trauma Surgery . Further medical care and follow-up will be provided by Dr. med. Jan Philipp Schüttrumpf , FCM team physician, Deputy Director of the Department, and Head of the Sports Traumatology Division.

Lubambo Musonda’s treatment also marks the continuation of a long-standing partnership: The Department of Trauma Surgery at Magdeburg University Medical Center has been supporting 1. FC Magdeburg for its eleventh season and provides expert assistance to the players in the event of injuries and sports medicine-related issues.
