Deutsche Bank completes € 1.0 billion share buyback program and commences new € 500 million program

NYSE: DB) successfully completed its € 1.0 billion share buyback program announced on 26 February 2026. Between 26 February and 21 August 2026, 35.7 million shares, or 1.87% of the bank’s share capital, were repurchased at a volume weighted average price of € 28.00 per share.

As already announced on 29 July 2026, the bank will now follow up with a new € 500 million share buyback program. The new program which will start on 25 August 2026 will be the first program funded from current-year net profit and it is already fully covered by existing capital deductions.

The bank aims for a 60% total payout ratio from 2026, with further scope for distributions of excess capital where our CET1 capital ratio sustainably exceeds 14%. On completion of this new program, aggregate share buyback activities will reach €1.5 billion in 2026 (2025: €1 billion).
