Dubai - Habib Bank Zurich was the main sponsor of the SWISS Pavilion at the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD), which concluded on 26 August 2026. The commercial bank’s involvement was also intended to reflect its strong cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland in the UAE and the Swiss Business Council.

( CONNECT ) Habib Bank Zürich was the main sponsor of the SWISS Pavilion at DIHAD this year. The 22nd Conference and Trade Fair for Humanitarian Aid and Development took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 24 to 26 August 2026. It brought together organizations, policymakers and development practitioners from around the world to discuss humanitarian challenges and sustainable development solutions.

During DIHAD, the SWISS Pavilion served as a platform for Swiss companies and institutions to showcase their expertise, innovations and contributions to humanitarian response and international development. The commitment of the commercial bank, which was founded in Zurich in 1967 and now operates in eleven countries, reportedly reflects “the Bank's longstanding connection to Switzerland and its continued engagement with Swiss business and diplomatic communities across its markets”.

The bank explains that its support for the SWISS Pavilion also underscores its "ongoing collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland in the United Arab Emirates and the Swiss Business Council ”. Both were said to play an important role in strengthening economic ties, enhancing business cooperation and promoting bilateral relations between Switzerland and the UAE. ce
