HSLU launches bachelor’s program combining business law and AI HSLU launches bachelor’s program combining business law and AI 27.08.2026, 09:22 Uhr Lucerne - Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) is launching a bachelor’s program in Business Law & LegalTech in the fall of 2027. The first program of its kind in Switzerland, it combines business law with artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and management. ( CONNECT ) HSLU is expanding its academic offerings to include the “first of its kind in Switzerland” Bachelor of Science in Business Law & LegalTech . According to a statement , the program responds to changes in legal work driven by digitalization and artificial intelligence, as well as the growing demand for professionals with expertise in law, technology, and business administration. The program is not geared towards a traditional legal career. Digital skills are an integral part of the curriculum from the outset. Students are expected to understand the possibilities and limitations of LegalTech and AI applications and to help shape their practical use. “They bridge the gap between law, technology, and management,” says program director Christoph Hauser. According to HSLU, the program prepares students for careers in the private sector, including banks and insurance companies, as well as in government agencies and the consulting industry. Potential career areas include legal departments, consulting and project management, compliance and risk management, tax and finance, HR and labor law, e-government, as well as LegalTech, contract management, cyber law, and data security. The bachelor’s degree program comprises 180 ECTS credits and can be completed in six semesters on a full-time basis or in eight semesters on a part-time or work-study basis. It is based in Lucerne. The first cohort will begin in the fall semester of 2027.
