Term of Validity: 31 August 2026 - 31 August 2027

Summary - Profile Type - Technology request - POD Reference - TRIT20260831019 - Term of Validity - 31 August 2026 - 31 August 2027 - Company's Country - Italy - Type of partnership - Commercial agreement with technical assistance - Research and development cooperation agreement - Targeted Countries - All countries General information - Short Summary - The NEREUS Symposium 2026 features a Business-To-Government matchmaking connecting Public Administrations (PAs) with service providers. Under this call, regional PAs seek businesses and research organisations offering Earth Observation data solutions to address their challenges in water monitoring and management. Meetings will be held in person in Bologna (Italy) in October. Research and development cooperation agreement and

or commercial agreement with technical assistance is envisaged. - Full Description - About NEREUS Symposium 2026 Call for Solution Providers: NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies) is the European platform that brings together regional authorities to promote and maximise the use of space technologies. The network fosters the deployment of space-based services and Earth Observation data for territorial management, regional economic growth, and the direct benefit of citizens. The 2026 NEREUS Symposium (Bologna, Italy - October 22-23, 2026) features a dedicated Business-to-Government (B2G) in-person matchmaking session designed to connect Public Administrations with innovative international technological experts. Regional NEREUS members' PAs have launched local challenges that can be addressed through Space Data and AI and are now willing to meet potential solution providers. Challenges are grouped into thematic clusters. Challenges in water management and monitoring (Cluster #WATER): International business and research actors are invited to submit their technological solutions for the following regional challenges: #03-BASILICATA - Integrated monitoring of water pollution and environmental pressures in the river basins of Basilicata How can satellite data and artificial intelligence support the monitoring of water pollution and environmental pressures in the river basins and industrial areas of Basilicata? #04-BASILICATA - An operational tool for monitoring water resources from space How can we estimate the extent and availability of water resources in remote or otherwise inaccessible areas of a territory? #05-VENETO - AI-Driven satellite monitoring for regional water stress detection and smart allocation How can we integrate EO data, AI techniques, and in-situ monitoring to improve water allocation decisions within complex hydraulic networks at the regional scale? More challenges, clustered by topics, are available on the Symposium website. How to apply: After creating an Expression of Interest, solution providers will be guided to the dedicated website to submit their solutions to challenges of interest via a dedicated form. Interested actors have the opportunity to meet the PA launching the challenge and pitch targeted solutions that leverage Earth Observation (EO) and space data to solve public needs, initiating potential pilots and collaborations with the PA. Application closes on September 15, 2026. PA challenge owners will select organisations that they would like to meet during the Symposium to discuss solution applications. Meetings will be held in person during the B2G matchmaking session in Bologna (Italy) on October 22-23, 2026. Participation is free of charge; registration and travel to Bologna are required if selected. Invited participants will engage with the Symposium programme and take advantage of its networking. Depending on the solution's maturity, cooperation may take the form of research and development agreements or commercial agreements with technical assistance. - Advantages and Innovations - NEREUS Regions are looking for innovative solutions to solve their challenges: specific regional problems and operational needs. Interested solvers can apply to one or more challenges to present their solutions directly to selected regions and public decision-makers. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought - International solution providers (companies and Research) are invited to submit their innovative solution proposals tailored to the launched challenges. The Call welcomes international solutions across various stages of technological development.
