Dates confirmed for WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup 2027 in Oklahoma City

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced today the dates for the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup 2027 , which will take place from 28 June to 8 July in Oklahoma City, USA.

Hosted by USA Softball, the 12-team tournament will be staged at Devon Park, the venue for the softball competition at the LA28 Olympic Games.

The WBSC awarded USA Softball and Devon Park the hosting rights for the next three editions of the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup , scheduled for 2027, 2029 and 2031. The agreement will give the youngest players on the international softball stage the opportunity to represent their countries at an Olympic venue and one of the sport’s most recognised stadiums.

Devon Park is set to undergo a USD 25.4 million renovation , which will add two indoor practice fields, team facilities and sports performance areas. The complex already features four fields, including a 13,000-seat stadium and a three-story press box, as well as the USA Softball headquarters and the USA Softball Hall of Fame Museum.

The 12 participating teams will be divided into two groups. World No. 9 Italy, No. 10 Czechia, No. 11 Australia and No. 23 New Zealand have booked their ticket to Oklahoma City, joining hosts and No. 2 USA.

The remaining seven places will be awarded through continental qualification. Weihai, China, will host the U-15 Women’s Softball Asia Cup from 12 to 18 October 2026, with the top two teams qualifying for the World Cup. Four teams from the Americas and one from Africa will complete the field.

The 2027 tournament will be the third edition of the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup, the newest and youngest age-category event in the WBSC softball portfolio.

The inaugural edition was held in Tokyo, Japan, in 2023, with USA defeating Puerto Rico 3-0 in the final. Japan won the second edition, staged in Caronno Pertusella and Legnano, Italy , in 2025, after recording a 4-0 victory over Puerto Rico in the final.
