When: Friday 18 September 2026, 10:30 - 13:30 (CEST)

This dedicated educational initiative brings high school students from the Pope John Paul II School Complex directly into the climate transition.

To ensure a high-quality, hands-on learning experience, participants will work in small groups across three simultaneous thematic tracks:

Facts & Manipulation: Navigating media narratives, identifying greenwashing, and contrasting individual actions with high-impact systemic solutions.

My Green Space: Exploring climate-adaptive urban planning and using civic tools such as participatory budgeting to help shape the future of Niepołomice.

Energy to Start: Demystifying how energy systems work and exploring citizen-led renewable energy initiatives.

Students will leave the workshops with stronger media literacy, practical climate action skills, tools for developing local initiatives, and greater confidence and agency to contribute to change in their municipality.

To support continued learning, participants will also receive access to a curated Padlet resource hub.

To extend the project’s impact beyond the classroom, custom educational board games developed for the event, together with a selection of climate-related books, will be donated to the local library, making these resources available to the wider community.
