( CONNECT ) Schätzle , a family company based in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, has been led by Alexander Hophan, a member of the owner family, and Alexander Streitzig as Co-CEOs since August. According to a statement , Hophan will continue to be responsible for the company’s financial management, while Streitzig is in charge of communication, representation and the areas of corporate and organization development, human resources, and IT. Hophan and Streitzig follow Urs Schmidli, who has switched from management to the board of directors after 23 years as the CEO.

According to a statement, the change to the Co-CEO model is setting the course for the future. Chair of the Board of Directors Thomas Bornhauser commented in the statement: “With this model, we are pooling strategic foresight, operational experience, and the values of a family company.”

The new management structure additionally ensures a planned, long-term and sustainable succession design. The company explained: “It links proven experience with new responsibilities and thus ensures the family company’s continuity in the sixth generation.”

Schätzle AG is an AVIA partner for energy in Central Switzerland and operates approximately 80 AVIA gas stations in the region. The family company also provides fuels, heating oil, lubricants, and renewable energies. ce
