Xorlab receives funding of over 5 million euros
02.09.2026, 09:49 Uhr Zurich - Xorlab AG will be able to use more than 5 million euros from a series A funding round to further develop its Europe-wide email security platform and expedite its growth in Europe. The company has registered a rapidly increasing demand for a sovereign European solution.
( CONNECT ) Zurich’s xorlab AG has received in excess of 5 million euros from investors. The series A funding round was led by the existing investor, Spicehaus Partners , which has been supporting xorlab since 2015. Additional participants in this round were the equity company Grapha-Holding from Hergiswil in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden, the venture capital firm EquityPitcher Ventures from Zurich, and Start-up Finance from Zürcher Kantonalbank .
According to a statement , the new capital is expected to accelerate xorlab’s expansion in Europe. The enterprise is establishing a Europe-wide email security platform, initially in the DACH region, Benelux countries, and in Scandinavia.
According to xorlab, the funding comes “amid rapidly growing demand” from European organizations that would like to decrease their dependence on IT security providers from the USA. Additionally, new regulations are increasing the pressure on financial institutes and operators of critical infrastructures by making them directly responsible for the stability of their digital supply chains.
CEO and Co-Founder Antonio Barresi commented: “ Europe needs its own cybersecurity champions. Not European copies of US incumbents, but companies capable of defining the next generation of enterprise security.” He added: “There is no better place to build the European leader in email security than in the heart of Central Europe.”
Daniel Andres, Founding Partner at Spicehaus Partners, has a “very high conviction that the combination of AI-driven threats, increasing regulatory pressure, and Europe’s push for digital sovereignty is creating a generational opportunity in cybersecurity.” He went on to say: “xorlab has the technology, customer trust, and market position to build a European category leader.” ce
