USA announce talented roster for WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifier
The defending U-18 Baseball World Champions , World No. 3 USA, announced the 20-player roster for the U-18 Pan American Championship, the WBSC Americas Qualifier for the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2027 presented by RAXUS . The Dominican Republic will host the qualifying event from October 22 to 29, 2026
“After a competitive week at Training Camp, we are excited to solidify this year’s U-18 National Team,” said manager Brian Schneider . “Just as it has been in years past, narrowing down the roster to 20 players was an extremely difficult decision for the entire coaching staff. The final roster is a group we are extremely confident in, and we look forward to competing in the Dominican Republic in pursuit of a gold medal.”

Isaac Vidal will make his third appearance on a USA Baseball national team. He will join Pete Crow-Armstrong and Anthony Volpe as players who have represented USA at the U-12, U-15, and U-18 levels. Cooper Collins was Vidal’s teammate in the 2024 U-15 campaign. Samir Mohammed will play for USA for the second time.
Nine players on the roster have participated in USA Baseball national team development programming. Collins, Ethan Gustus, Graham Houston, Mohammed, Connor Salerno, and Brogan Witcher boast U-16 and U-17 National Team Development Program (NTDP) experience. Dylan Seward and Vidal have competed at the U-13 and U-14 Athlete Development Program (ADP), and Chase Fuller has participated in both programmes.
Four players have participated in a past development event jointly hosted in partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB). Malachi Butler has competed in the MLB ID Tour, Mohammed has participated in the DREAM Series, and Fuller and Sebastian Wilson have participated in the Hank Aaron Invitational. In addition, 14 players on the roster played in the 2026 MLB High School All-American Game in Dyersville, Iowa, earlier this summer.
Schneider’s staff includes 11-year MLB reliever and two-time Team USA alum Luke Gregerson, who will serve as pitching coach. The staff also includes former MLB first baseman and Sydney 2000 gold medallist Doug Mientkiewicz and former MLB switch-hitting outfielder Tim Raines Jr.
