Clim-E-Do! project empowers pupils and students in Czech and Austrian schools to identify climate challenges and develop climate projects

Tandem Climate Cooperation

Our cross-border EU project called Clim-E-Do! empowers pupils and students to identify climate challenges in their schools and develop their own climate projects. Working in teams throughout the school year, they design and implement practical solutions using a participatory, learning-by-doing approach.

Special emphasis is placed on thinking about possible future and the consequences of current decisions.

Teachers act as facilitators, while students take responsibility for planning, decision-making, and project implementation.

The project also provides professional development for teachers in climate education and participatory teaching methods. A key element is international cooperation between Czech and Austrian schools, enabling students and teachers to exchange experiences, share good practices, and learn from one another through online and face-to-face climate focused activities.

Sharing toolkits, resources and peer-learning opportunities are implemented with a strong emphasis.

This project demonstrates that even small local student initiatives can contribute to a more sustainable future where we see a strong overlap with the theme of intergenerational fairness.
