Trip to Selbu and Stokkfjellet wind farm

Join the NITO pensioners on an eventful day trip to Selbu with museum visits, local history, technology and an insight into the development of Norwegian wind power.

Norwegian Radio and Television Museum and Stokkfjellet wind farm

We start the day from Trondheim and head for Selbu. At the Norwegian Radio and Television Museum, we get a guided tour of both the Radio and Television Museum, where we get to see how radio and television have developed over time, and how technology has changed the way we communicate, inform and entertain ourselves.

Patty sandwiches, waffles and coffee will be served in connection with the museum visit.

After the museum visit, the tour continues to Stokkfjellet wind farm. The bus drives up to the wind farm, where we get an insight into the plant’s history, current operations and plans for the future.

The day ends with dinner at Thon Hotel Selbusjøen Gjestegård, where guest farm sodd with dessert and coffee is served.

Then the trip goes back to Trondheim, with expected arrival at Trondheim Central Station around 18:00.

08.30: Departure from Trondheim Central Station, platform 14

10.00–13.00: Norwegian Radio and Television Museum – guided tour and lunch

13.45: Departure to Stokkfjellet wind farm

13.45–15.15: Bus tour in Stokkfjellet wind farm and orientation

15.30–17.00: Dinner, dessert and coffee at Thon Hotel Selbusjøen Gjestegård

Approx. 18.00: Arrival Trondheim Central Station
