Olympic and Paralympic champions Amber Glenn and Ezra Frech to appear on Dancing with the Stars

The 35th edition of the dance show will mark the first time Olympic and Paralympic champions are competing in the same season.

The world has watched them skate. The world has watched them jump and run.

And now the world will watch them dance.

Figure skating star Amber Glenn and Para track and field athlete Ezra Frech will be among the competitors on the 35th season of Dancing with the Stars , starting on 15 September.

This marks the first time that Olympic and Paralympic champions are competing during the same season.

French, who won gold medals in the T63 sprint and high jump at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games , is the first Paralympian to compete on the show in eight years.

He will compete on the show with professional dance partner Daniella Karagach, while Glenn will take the dance floor with Pasha Pashkov .

Glenn won gold for the USA in the team event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games and finished fifth in women's singles. Speaking to NBC in April , the 26-year-old said she plans to continue competing as long as her body is healthy and is set to start her ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix Series 2026-27 season at Skate America in November.

She is also assigned to compete at the NHK Trophy later the same month.

As high-jump reigning World Champion, Ezra Frech prepares to return to the Paralympics for the second time. He reflects on his remarkable journey with his father and together with his mother, he takes us to meet their wider and beloved Californian community as they organize a unique event for adaptative sports in Los Angeles.

The Dancing with the Stars season could run as late as early December for the final four contestants, which would overlap with the 2026 Grand Prix Final.

Ten figure skaters who competed on the show in earlier years had already ended their sports careers at the time, with Johnny Weir the last to make an appearance in 2020.

If Glenn wins the Mirrorball trophy, she would become the fourth figure skater to do so, following in the footsteps of Olympic medallists Kristi Yamaguchi , Meryl Davis and Adam Rippon .
