Wikon - Condecta AG opened its new modular construction competence center in Wikon in the Swiss canton of Lucerne on September 1. The 25 employees at WL Bau AG are also moving to Wikon. Condecta acquired the module specialist from Weggen, also in the canton of Lucerne, at the end of August.

( CONNECT ) Condecta AG from Winterthur is expanding the business area of modular construction. At the start of September, the provider of space systems, modular construction, and infrastructure for building sites and events as well as products for water protection opened its new modular construction competence center in Wikon, according to a statement from Condecta. The company hopes to serve the increased demand for space solutions from Wikon. For this, numerous activities from Condecta’s modular construction business area are being pooled at the Wikon site.

In Wikon, Condecta has 12,000 square meters of area. Of this, 7,000 square meters are used as a hall with storage space for around 750 modules. Olivier Annaheim, CEO of Condecta, commented in the statement: “Anyone who needs a modular building wants a contact partner, a binding date, and quality that can be relied on. In Wikon, customers receive everything from one provider: technology and expertise are in one place and the spaces allow large, complex projects to be implemented on time.”

The site will also be enhanced by a new addition: Condecta acquired WL Bau AG from Meggen at the end of August. The 25 employees will all move to the competence center in Wikon. WL Bau Founder Emsud Ljutić will take on management of modular construction and additionally enter into Condecta’s management. Ljutić explained: “Our claim has always been to make the ordinary extraordinary. At Condecta we can honour this claim on a larger stage with the network and funds required for modern modular construction projects.“ ce
