He assumed the role of CEO International Commercial and became a member of the Executive Committee in September 2026. Prior to that, he served as CEO Commercial Insurance International from January 2026 and as CEO of Zurich Austria from 2024 to 2025. Before joining Zurich, he was senior strategy consultant and owner of VELL s.r.o. from 2023 to 2024, advising clients in the insurance and financial services industry. He previously held a number of senior executive positions at Generali and was a member of the Generali group management committee from 2016 to 2022. From 2018 to 2022, he served as Austria & CEE Regional CEO and, from 2016 to 2017, as CEE & Russia Regional CEO. His earlier senior leadership responsibilities included serving as Regional CEO for Central and Eastern Europe and CEO of Generali Austria, complemented by leading roles in commercial insurance underwriting across Austria, CEE and Germany. Mr. Cirinà is a member of the board of directors of Mattoni 1873 a.s. and chairman of its audit committee. Mr. Cirinà holds a degree in business administration and finance from the University of Trieste, Italy.
