CE compliance, cybersecurity (GDPR), and European dissemination. - Full Description - A Turkey-based consortium is currently preparing a project proposal in response to the DIGITAL-2026-AI-PILOTING-10-SCREENING call for proposals, launched under the European Union’s Digital Europe Program. The project aims to implement and validate, across multiple centers throughout Europe, an AI-based dermatology screening and patient monitoring platform developed to support the early diagnosis of dermatological diseases, particularly skin cancers. The proposed solution consists of an integrated digital health platform that includes: • A portable dermoscopic imaging device, • A cloud-based artificial intelligence analysis infrastructure, • A clinical decision support system, • Patient follow-up and long-term monitoring modules, • Integration layers with hospital information systems. The platform has already reached the prototype stage, and as part of the project, multicenter validation and roll-out activities will be conducted in real clinical settings. This enables clinicians to systematically track the evolution of skin lesions over time, significantly improving the early detection of malignant changes. High Portability for Decentralized Care: The inclusion of a portable dermoscopic imaging device allows for high-quality screenings across various point-of-care settings. This has the potential to expand early screening capabilities from specialized dermatology departments to wider clinical environments, reducing waiting times and system bottlenecks. Seamless Clinical Workflow Integration: A major barrier to AI adoption in healthcare is workflow disruption.
