PROCEDURE FOR THE GYMNASTS’ DRAWING OF LOTS
QUALIFICATIONS
General Principles:
To draw electronically the following Groups into 6 subdivisions for men and 10 subdivisions for women:
Teams (24 Groups for men and women with a max. of 1 Team per Group).
All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts (10 Groups for men with a max. of 6 gymnasts per Group / 14 Groups for women with a max. of 5 gymnasts per Group).
Apparatus Specialists (2 Groups for men with a max. of 4 gymnasts per Group / 2 Groups for women with a max. of 4 gymnasts per Group).
For MAG there must be the following:
6 subdivisions, each with 4 Groups of Teams.
5 subdivisions, each with 2 Groups of All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts
1 subdivision with 2 Groups of Apparatus Specialists.
The Netherlands, as the host nation, will be drawn into Subdivision 3, as decided by the WGYM Executive Committee at its July 2026 meeting in Dushanbe (TJK).
For WAG there must be the following:
5 subdivisions, each with 2 Groups of Teams and 2 Groups of All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts.
4 subdivisions, each with 3 Groups of Teams and 1 Group of All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts.
1 subdivision with 2 Groups of Teams and 2 Groups of Apparatus Specialists.
The Netherlands, as the host nation, will be drawn into Subdivision 7 or Subdivision 8, as decided by the WGYM Executive Committee at its July 2026 meeting in Dushanbe (TJK).
No All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts or Apparatus Specialists can be added into a Group of Teams.
World Gymnastics, in consultation with the TC and the LOC reserves the right to apply adjustments to the draw and starting order should the Nominative Registrations received or the final number of participants at the time of the competition generate organizational problems.
First Step:
To draw electronically the Groups of Teams, the Groups # of All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts and the Groups # of Apparatus Specialists into the Subdivisions and Apparatus.
Second Step:
To draw electronically the All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts into the All-Around / Additional All-Around Group #. All-Around / Additional All-Around gymnasts from the same country must be drawn in the same Group #.

Third Step:
To draw electronically the Apparatus Specialists into the Apparatus Specialists Group #. Apparatus Specialists from the same country must be drawn in the same Group #.
If qualified to compete on consecutive apparatus, an Apparatus Specialist competing last on one apparatus cannot be drawn to compete first or second on the following apparatus.
TEAM FINAL
The teams ranked 1-8 after the Qualification are seeded as identified in the Starting Order chart. The teams rotate from one event to another as per the international apparatus order, as identified in the Working Order chart.
ALL-AROUND FINAL
The gymnasts ranked 1-24 after the Qualifications are seeded in international apparatus order into one subdivision, as identified in the Starting Order chart. The individuals rotate from one event to another as per the international apparatus order, as identified in the Working Order chart.
APPARATUS FINALS WORKING ORDER
To establish the Working order on each apparatus, a draw is carried out, until the positions 1-8 are filled.
PODIUM TRAINING AND TRAINING GROUPS
Podium Training and Training Groups follow the Qualifications’ draw order by subdivision and apparatus.
