INFORMATIK 2026 — GI Conference Brings 1,000 Participants to TU Dresden

The central theme of INFORMATIK 2026 , which is being co-organized under the leadership of Prof. Florian Tschorsch, is “Digital Resilience.” The focus is on new approaches that make digital systems more resilient—not only technically, but also socially. This is reflected in the main program, from which only three presentations are mentioned here:

September 23, 9:45–10:30 a.m.: “Does Europe’s Digital Resilience Need Open Chips?” with Stefan Wallentowitz, Julia Christina Hess, Gerhard Fettweis, and Claudia Kretzschmar.

September 23, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: “Science Under Threat! What Does Resilient Research Look Like?” with Christian Hummert.

September 24, 4:00–5:30 p.m.: “Debugging the Future: What Skills Ensure Digital Resilience?” with Friederike Schubart, Franziska Heine, Marius Hofmeister, and Moritz Kreinsen from the Common Grounds Forum (CGF).

Part of the festival are the Legal and Administrative Informatics Conference ( RVI 2026 ) on the digitization of government and administration, as well as SKILL2026 , the GI student conference.

INFORMATIK has evolved into a festival with a focus on networking. The varied evening program certainly contributes to this—it kicks off on September 22 with the Welcome Reception, followed in the coming days by the Community Dinner at Albrechtsberg Castle and the Junge GI Festival Night featuring a Science Slam.

TU members can attend the sessions free of charge, and free childcare is provided every day.
