The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2026 presented by RAXUS introduced the event to the local media during a press conference in Managua. Nicaragua will host the event at the Soberanía Stadium in Managua, the Roberto Clemente Stadium in Masaya, and the Rigoberto López Pérez Stadium in León.

Maurice Ortega, delegate of the Presidency of the Republic of Nicaragua for the promotion and development of sports, led the press conference. He was joined by Nemesio Porras, president of the Nicaraguan Baseball Federation (FENIBA); Daniel Sequeira, co-director of the Nicaraguan Sports Institute; Cristian Jiménez, national coordinator of the U23 World Cup; and Karen Alfaro, Public Relations and Commercial coordinator for the LOC.

"We have been working together with sports authorities, national authorities, and municipal authorities for several months to organise this event, which is considered one of the best in the world of baseball. This event brings together the twelve best national teams in the category, which is why the eyes of the baseball world will be on Nicaragua."

He also highlighted that what Nicaraguan sports are experiencing is historic: "We are living through the best moment in the history of sports in Nicaragua. Never before has there been so much support for the construction and improvement of sports facilities, and the hosting of national and international events, thus guaranteeing the right to recreation and entertainment for the Nicaraguan population. This is thanks to the support, willingness, and commitment of our government, and to the vision and leadership of the co-presidents of Nicaragua, Cmdr. Daniel Ortega and Comrade Rosario Murillo, toward the development of sports across all disciplines—and especially with the king of sports for Nicaraguans, baseball."

The LOC also announced the ticket prices for the event.
