Peru Softball Federation continues 50th anniversary celebrations with third Expo Arte & Softbol
The Peru Softball Federation continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary with the third edition of Expo Arte & Softbol, an exhibition bringing together more than 50 artists and nearly 70 works inspired by softball.
Curated by Haroldo Higa, the exhibition will run from 10 to 27 September at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Palma in Miraflores, Lima, with works displayed in the Siete Setenta and Alicia Larco de Cox galleries. The opening ceremony will take place on 10 September at 19:00 (local time).

The initiative follows Peru’s hosting of the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Lima from 14 to 18 July at the Villa María del Triunfo complex. Six national teams competed in the tournament, with Japan and Puerto Rico securing a ticket to the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals 2027 .
During the World Cup, the Peruvian Softball Federation showcased a small selection of ceramic balls , each of them interpreting the sport through the artist’s own language.
The third Expo Arte & Softbol extends the anniversary celebrations beyond the field by exploring the relationship between sport and artistic expression. Rather than focusing solely on sporting objects transformed into artworks, the project seeks to broaden softball’s cultural reach and create new ways for the public to engage with the sport.
Through different techniques and perspectives, the works invite visitors to reconsider familiar softball objects and imagery. A piece may spark curiosity, raise a question or offer a different interpretation of an element commonly associated with the game.
The third Expo Arte & Softbol is supported by the Municipality of Miraflores.
