Barquisimeto to host Americas qualifier for WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2027

Barquisimeto, Venezuela, will welcome six national teams for the Youth Baseball5 Pan American Championship , which will serve as the Americas qualifier for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2027 .

Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and hosts Venezuela will compete for the continental title and three coveted places at next year’s global event.

The participating delegations are scheduled to arrive in Barquisimeto on 13 October, with the Opening Round taking place from 14 to 16 October. The semifinals and finals will be played on 17 October, before the teams depart the following day.

As per the WBSC Americas press release , the tournament is expected to be staged at either the Olympic Village or the Bolivarian Dome.

Barquisimeto will also stage the senior Pan American Baseball5 Championship during the same period. Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela are set to compete for the senior continental crown, bringing two generations of the region’s leading Baseball5 players together for five days of action.

The WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2027 will feature 16 teams as per the following: Africa: 2 Teams Americas: 4 Teams Asia: 3 Teams Europe: 3 Teams Oceania: 1 Team Host: 1 Team 1 host team of the previous edition in the same age category (if not qualified through the qualification tournament(s)) WBSC: 1 Wild Card
