They will be hoping for a change in fortunes with Ibrahim Zadran captaining the side in his first assignment since being appointed Afghanistan’s full-time T20I skipper. Fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq will return to the Afghanistan national setup after recovering from a stress fracture in his right shoulder. Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Noor Ahmad and all-rounders Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib add further experience to an Afghanistan side well accustomed to Indian conditions through their IPL experience.
