Parma announce roster moves for BCL Europe Final Four
Italian Serie A winner Parma Baseball announced it would add two rentals to their BCL Europe Final Four roster.
Right-handed pitcher Frank Madan and utility player Anthony Concepcion will travel with the team to Brno, Czechia.
Born in 1991 in Cuba, Frank Madan started 16 games in his first season with Macerata in 2026 and posted a 7-2 record and a 2.17 ERA. The 35-year-old right-hander has played for Camaguey in Cuba’s Serie Nacional from 2009 to 2023, before moving to Reggio Emilia in the Italian Serie A.
Anthony Concepcion is a Venezuelan utility player who spent parts of the last three seasons in Italy. He played six games for Nettuno in 2024, 41 for Parma in 2025 (8 home runs, 46 RBIs and a .338 batting average) and 34 for Macerata (4 home runs, 20 RBIs and a .321 batting average) in 2026.
Born in 1995, he started his professional career in the Atlanta Braves minor league system and also played in the Venezuelan professional league (LVBP) for La Guaira, Aragua and Margarita.
“We want to thank the two players and Macerata’s president Graziani,” stated Parma General Manager and former Olympian Massimo Fochi.
Manager Marcello Saccardi said in an interview with La Gazzetta di Parma : “We still feel the electricity and the enthusiasm of the Italian Baseball Series, but we are aware it won’t be easy to keep the same form for two weeks, until the Baseball Champions League Europe Final Four opens.”
Parma will face the Tenerife Marlins (the Spanish Division de Honor Oro champions) in the first BCL Europe semifinal on Saturday, 26 September, at 12:00.
The hosts, Draci Brno, and Neptunus Rotterdam (Netherlands) will play the second semifinal at 19:00.
The BCL Europe Final is scheduled for Sunday, 27 September, at 18:00.
