Mirror Project completes Group Stage journey in Oklahoma City
The Mirror Project , developed by the WBSC Integrity Unit , arrived at the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Oklahoma City 2026 , completing its journey across the three Group Stage events after activations in Prague and Lima.
Installed in athlete areas at Devon Park, which hosts six national teams from 12 to 16 September, the Integrity Mirrors invite players to pause before taking the field and reflect on the values that underpin baseball and softball — fair play, clean sport, respect, honesty and responsibility. By placing these messages inside a familiar space in the competition environment, the Mirror Project brings integrity education directly into athletes’ pre-game routines.
The mirrors themselves were also set up so that athletes can leave notes for one another. Players were encouraged to write a short message of support or encouragement on a sticky note and attach it to the mirror, where the next teammate or opponent to stop by will find it. Over the course of the week, the messages left behind become part of the installation.
Group Oklahoma City features Brazil, China, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand and hosts USA, competing in a round-robin schedule followed by play-off games to determine the two nations that will advance to the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals 2027 — the first qualification event for softball on the Road to LA28 .
The Mirror Project forms part of the WBSC Integrity Unit’s wider commitment to promoting integrity through education and athlete engagement, delivered under the Play Ball, Play Fair campaign.
