Media Registration for Blind Baseball International Cup open from September 18 to 25

Media can register for the WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup 2026 from Friday, September 18, to Friday, September 25 . The Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) will host the event in collaboration with the Italian Blind Baseball Association (AIBxC, a WBSC Associate Member) at Simone Piani Baseball Stadium in Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany, from September 30 to October 3.

All members of the media, both local

national and international (including those who have previously registered for WBSC events), who plan to cover the WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at https:

Start by clicking ENTER below Media Accreditation on the right-hand side of the page. After clicking the REQUEST ACCREDITATION button for the given event (Blind Baseball International Cup), the applicant must complete the online request form, including a headshot.

Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received.

Those media intending to cover the event remotely should write to the WBSC Media Department at media@wbsc.org to receive the tournament press releases .

Television crews or other media outlets wishing to use cameras and intending to film the event should also contact the WBSC Media Department when submitting their application to confirm filming access

Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.

Media members can check their request status AFTER the registration deadline, September 25 , by accessing my.wbsc.org and clicking SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION at the top right of the page. Then enter your first name, last name, and the email address you used to register.

Blind Baseball International Cup 2026

The eight participating teams have been split into two groups, with the top two finishers from each group advancing to the semifinals and medal games.

Defending champions Cuba will compete in Group A alongside Czechia, Great Britain, and the USA, while hosts Italy will face the Netherlands, Pakistan, and Chinese Taipei in Group B.

It will be the third edition of the Blind Baseball International Cup .

Beek, Netherlands, hosted the inaugural edition in 2022 , when Italy defeated Great Britain in the Final to win the six-team tournament.

The competition expanded to eight teams for its second edition in 2024 . Cuba defeated Italy in the Final to claim the title at Farnham Park near London, England.
