Les participants se pencheront sur deux questions: que donnerait, en Afrique, une coopération plus étroite entre la recherche scientifique et la diplomatie? Et comment améliorer le réseautage entre, d’une part, les services diplomatiques suisses, et, d’autre part, les instituts de recherche, le secteur privé, les ONG et les représentants officiels des États africains présents dans notre pays? «L’Afrique est, globalement parlant, un continent en plein essor, mais elle l’est tout particulièrement dans le domaine de l’innovation. Avec sa population jeune et en forte croissance, elle recèle un énorme potentiel pour la diplomatie scientifique», explique l’ambassadeur Philipp Stalder, chef de la division Afrique. «Aussi est-il dans l’intérêt de la Suisse d’encourager de manière ciblée la coopération en matière de recherche avec les institutions africaines». ...
