The Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems today launched a technology platform for the circular economy and process engineering at the Bitterfeld-Wolfen Chemical Park. At the opening ceremony, State Secretary for Economic Affairs Stefanie Pötzsch presented a grant notification in the amount of approximately 4.5 million euros. The technology platform for circular economy and process engineering is designed to support companies in developing efficient processes, testing them themselves, and bringing them into practical application. This will enable research and industry to collaborate more closely. “Small and medium-sized enterprises usually lack the capacity to conduct research on new technologies and processes. With its new technology platform, the Fraunhofer Institute is enabling closer integration between research and industry.
