Giro d’Italia 2026: All riders and teams - complete start list Teams have begun to reveal their rosters for the Giro d’Italia 2026. Discover who is taking part ahead of the official start on 8 May. The 109th edition of the Giro d’Italia – the first of three annual Grand Tours in road cycling — gets underway in Nessebar, Bulgaria, on 8 May, with 184 riders from 23 teams expected to vie for the Maglia Rosa (Pink Jersey). The peloton – a collective name for the full field of riders – will take on a 3,459.2 km (2,149.4 miles) challenge over 21 stages, culminating in the traditional finish in Rome on 31 May. Danish cycling star Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) will start the Corsa Rosa as the pre-race favourite, but will face an audacious challenge from Italian youngster Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull - Bora - hansgrohe). Each team will field eight riders, with differing roles in the race. Some teams will chase individual stage wins, others will hope to dominate the sprints, while a select few will pursue general classification glory.
