L’accord de libre-échange (ALE), en vigueur depuis 2014, offre certes aux entreprises locales des avantages douaniers importants et une sécurité juridique, mais les produits de haute précision, tels que les machines-outils, ne sont toujours pas exemptés des droits de douane ; or des droits de douane supérieurs à 10% constituent un inconvénient majeur. Swissmem s’engage donc résolument en faveur d’une modernisation de l’accord afin de lever ces obstacles.
